Volunteer alumni are in the process of developing an LGBTQIA affinity group to offer opportunities for LGBTQIA alumni to connect with, and support, one another and the College's students. If you would like to become a member of the Haverford LGBTQIA affinity group, please let us know. We have also created an unlisted Rainbow Quorum group on LinkedIn and a closed Rainbow Quorum Facebook group to provide opportunities to connect with one another immediately.
Because this network is new, activities have not been finalized. We expect them to include professional and career networking, as well as mentoring of current students and alumni. To stay informed as the group develops—or to share your ideas—please connect with us on social media.
Rainbow Quorum sponsored a conversation between current students and alumni during Alumni Weekend. The students, Stevie Campos-Seligman '20, Rebecca Fisher '18, Joey Leroux '18, and Rory Kenneson '18 spoke about their experiences at Haverford, queer life on campus, the new Q House dorm, and their hopes to establish a more formal/expansive queer student center.
Members of Rainbow Quorum, in conjunction with the Center for Career and Professional Advising (CCPA), participated in the their inaugural panel discussion. The topic was "Being Queer in the Workplace". The conversation was wide ranging and enlightening for all involved.
